Mexican visual artist and writer M. Heriv borrows inspiration from art history, literature, philosophy, critical theory and natural phenomena.

After graduating from the University of Texas as a Bachelor of Fine Arts (with an emphasis on art history and analog photography) in 2012, the artist underwent classical training following a rigorous XIX century French atelier-inspired program in New York City.

The recent oeuvre, “Magical Realism in New York”, has been featured in multiple art galleries across Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn, including the Salmagundi Club in Fifth Avenue and private collections.
